GENERAL INFORMATION:
What is UPrep Together?
UPrep Together is our annual community celebration in support of UPrep's robust financial aid program. This year, for the first time ever, our event will virtual!
What will the event day be like?
Our virtual UPrep Together event will run from noon to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1 in order to give our community plenty of time to participate throughout the day. Starting at 5:00 p.m., there will be a webinar style Zoom call. You can drop in at any time to watch updates about the UPrep community. For a full schedule of events, visit the home page!
Where can I find the link to the Zoom Room?
At 4:30 p.m., we will update the homepage of the event website with the link. Join us then!
Can I participate without needing to watch the full program?
Yes! Our program is designed to be something that you can drop in and out of when convenient for you. We want you to be able to pay attention to the parts that fit your schedule and are of most interest to you.
What if I want to log into the Zoom Room but don't want to be visible?
We are well familiar with the Zoom fatigue that is setting in! When you drop into the webinar style zoom meeting, your video will not be shared. All attendees will see our presenters but not those watching at home. Kick your feet up and enjoy the event as a spectator!
Will the Zoom Room be interactive even though I'm not visible?
Yes! The chat feature will be available and we'll be taking questions during the event. If you have anything you'd like to share or ask, you'll be able to do so there.
DONATION INFORMATION:
What will my donation support?
All funds raised at UPrep Together will support immediate and future financial aid needs in the form of tuition assistance. With the coronavirus pandemic, we have seen an increase in need and we are grateful that our generous community can help keep our community together. Due to the unusual nature of this situation and the extraordinary need, we are asking your permission to allocate funds toward both immediate tuition assistance and endowed financial aid at the discretion of the administration to serve greatest need.
What is the Temporary Emergency Financial Aid Fund?
The Temporary Emergency Financial Aid Fund is open to all current and newly enrolled UPrep families for tuition relief and will supplement our current Financial Aid Program. We realize the financial situation for many of our families may have changed for many of our families due to the coronavirus pandemic and we want to ensure that all our Puma families can remain a part of our school community.
I heard there is a challenge match available. Is that true?
For the first time we have TWO challenge matches available. An alumni family has generously agreed to match donations of $7,500 and below for up to $200,000. Additionally, a donor family who is new to our UPrep community this year offered a challenge match for other new families who came to UPrep during the 2019-2020 school year. Each gift made by a new family will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $30,000.
What if I want to make a gift or pledge before the event opens on Friday, May 1?
We would love to take your pledge today! You can make a pledge or gift online here. If you have any questions about your gift of pledge, please contact Operations and Database Administrator Vani Limaye at vlimaye@universityprep.org.
What are my giving options?
You may make a gift with a credit card on our giving page now or you can pledge any amount to be paid by credit card or check at some future date between now and June 30.
If I make a pledge today, when do I need to make payment on my pledge?
Pledges can be paid anytime through June 30, 2020.
If I'm unable to participate on May 1, can I still support financial aid?
You can donate at any time! Contact Operations and Database Administrator Vani Limaye at vlimaye@universityprep.org.
