What is UPrep Together?
UPrep Together is this year's spring celebration in Seattle at Block 41 on Friday, March 8 at 7:00 p.m. It is an evening to come together and celebrate our wonderful community and also to raise money for the Endowed Financial Aid Fund.
What will the event be like?
Come ready for a fun evening of great conversation and mingling with other parents! We'll have delicious food and complimentary wine and beer. UPrep students will be showcasing their talents in music and dance performances throughout the night in addition to a short program. There will also be an opportunity for guests to raise their paddle and support our Endowed Financial Aid Fund.
How should I dress?
Business casual, but dressier if you wish.
Will food and drinks be provided?
We will have a buffet of heavy hors d'oeuvres to meet all dietary needs. There will also be hosted beer and wine, with a cash bar for cocktails.
Where is Block 41 and where should I park?
Block 41 is located at 115 Bell Street in Belltown. Complimentary valet parking will be provided for all guests. If you prefer not to drive, we have an Uber promo code for this event that will be emailed to you upon registering.
What are the grade-level pre-parties and where are they taking place?
The grade-level pre-parties will also be held at Block 41, beginning at 6 pm. Unlike in previous years, this means you will only have to park your car once! And for those parents with children in multiple grades at UPrep, you will be able to participate in all the pre-parties because they will all be conveniently located at Block 41.
I am new to UPrep and I haven't met many parents from my child's grade yet. Should I attend?
Absolutely! Uprep Together is a fun community celebration that gives you the opportunity to meet more members of our incredible school community. The grade-level pre-parties are the best way to meet parents from your child's grade. The parties start at 6 pm. Please join us!
What if the $125 admission price is prohibitive for me?
Please contact Laura Amrein in the Financial Aid office at lamrein@universityprep.org or 206.832.1118 for financial assistance.
What will the money I donate support?
All funds raised at UPrep Together will support UPrep's Endowed Financial Aid Fund. Our UPrep community has contributed over $1.1M to this fund in the past three years alone, and the interest we realize from this fund has grown substantially.
Why is financial aid so important?
UPrep's commitment to financial aid is one of the strongest statements we make in keeping our commitment to equity and inclusion. This year, 16 percent of UPrep students received a financial aid award, ranging from 15-99 percent of their annual tuition. Additionally, our financial aid is comprehensive, meaning it is meant to cover all costs associated with a UPrep education.
If I'm unable to attend, can I still support the Endowed Financial Aid Fund?
You can donate at any time! Visit our website, or go to www.supportuprep.org for more information.
